Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator (Construction) to join our production team. Under supervision, you will operate and maintain concrete handling equipment, monitor quality, and support shift-based production goals in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires experience with similar equipment, basic reading of procedures, and physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. We offer competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing/industrial environment experience preferred.
• Reading and understanding safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain concrete handling (Rekers) equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect the quality of products according to standards, and adjust settings as necessary.
• Detect and report any equipment malfunctions and quality issues to Plant Supervisor.
• Assist in maintaining accurate production flow and reporting.
• Record and report quality data; moisture, density, height, material consumption.
• Update communication boards and participate in shift huddle debriefs.
• Inspect and prepare molds.
• Perform machine clean-up, set-up, and other functions associated with product changes.
• Execute Daily and Business fundamentals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager, Supervisor, and Lead Machine Operator.
• Willing and able to cross-train on other aspects of the production process.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
