Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking an Operator to run plant machinery in a safety-conscious environment. The role requires reading specifications, adjusting equipment, and maintaining product quality. Candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance and assist teammates to meet production deadlines.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work a varying schedule is expected in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience in trades applicable to the job.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to work with concrete variables in standardized situations and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance to ensure quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Other duties related to the job as needed.
