JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $22.00 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour shift differential

3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 11 pm-7 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate 4 (PA4) is a training position through which Associates may advance to the Production Associate 5 (PA5) position. Through this training position, associates will learn to operate extrusion lines and produce vinyl siding products and accessories, ensuring that extruder outputs are consistent with product specifications and quality standards by inspecting finished products for consistency.

Associates must be in the PA4 position for at least 6 months and pass proficiency tests to be eligible for promotion to PA5. Failure to pass within 12 months may result in demotion to the previous role.

1. Learn to verify operational status of all equipment on assigned line according to start-up checklists.
2. Maintain extruder and peripheral line equipment settings to produce outputs that meet product specifications.
3. Perform Quality Assurance duties, including testing finished products to ensure quality within established parameters.
4. Notify Supervisory personnel of deviations for correction.
5. Communicate with Maintenance and Shift Supervisors about machine issues.
6. Assist PA5 with troubleshooting and equipment adjustments to maintain consistency.
7. Assist with changeovers of extruder machine output components during shifts.
8. Conduct line checks to verify product consistency, including measurements and inspections.
9. Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of work areas and equipment.
10. Monitor and ensure quality of packed products.
11. Relieve other Production Associates for breaks.
12. Share knowledge about product quality and issues with other shifts.
13. Complete all operational and QA paperwork accurately.
14. Follow production schedules and QA specifications.
15. Record work hours and adhere to health and safety practices.
16. Perform pre-start equipment checks.
17. Assist with training new personnel and temporary staff.
18. Participate in safety programs and communicate safety concerns.
19. Assist with equipment maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of six months related or production experience.
• Ability to perform functions of lower-level Production Associate roles.
• Basic reading, writing, and mechanical skills.
• Good mechanical and math aptitude.
• Positive attitude, excellent attendance, and safety consciousness.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to operate test equipment.
• Ability to learn computer and ten-key operation.
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers accurately.
• Physical ability to lift up to 86 lbs regularly and team lift up to 100 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and working in varying weather conditions.
• Use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety policies.
