2nd Shift (M-F 3:30pm-12:00am) *This is a temporary position*

Starting at $20.00 per hour.

Position Summary

The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating equipment used in the manufacturing of products. The operator will work with other employees to effectively meet or exceed expectations for product quality and production rates.

Job Responsibilities
  • Adheres to company safety policies and programs such as Personal Protective Equipment, Incident/Injury Reporting, Hazard Communication, and Labeling.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints.
  • Able to locate jobs and set up programs in Laser console.
  • Ensures that goals and expectations are met, and product is developed on schedule.
  • Locates and acquires needed materials for jobs.
  • Ensures equipment is in optimal working order and reports issues to team leaders.
  • Completes all required paperwork (1st pc Article, WIP, 100% Ready for ISN, and router).
  • Manually moves line breaks on segmented parts to prevent separation on letters/numbers.
  • Converts between standard and metric measurements.
  • Reads prints and matches print to router and pink ticket.
  • Pulls program from Z-Drive and copies to C-Drive.
  • Verifies the VLF program matches the print.
  • Sets up VLF program and edits WST program to match XYZ coordinates on sequential parts.
  • Uses calipers and other measuring tools accurately.
  • Lifts up to 50 lbs and performs team lifts of up to 75 pounds.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information at all times.
  • Keeps a neat and organized workstation for safety and efficiency.
  • Builds strong working relationships within the team and treats each other with respect.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively with team members.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting, addresses machine errors, and conducts spot checks to ensure quality.
  • Maintains accurate documentation and paperwork.
  • Immediately reports product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Assists in training new employees as required.
  • Pulls jobs efficiently from the FIFO system.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Knowledge/Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
  • 1-3+ years of manufacturing experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing.
Skills/Competencies
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for setup and operations.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with others and facilitate positive actions.
