Machine Operator 2nd shift (Manufacturing)

Responsibilities:

1. Receive work orders and drawings, and set up equipment according to machine programs and part specifications.
2. Follow instructions from the Team Lead to align priorities with production plans.
3. Document daily production and machine performance data to support the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program.
4. Perform daily maintenance on machines and tooling as required.
5. Maintain a safe work environment, adhere to OSHA guidelines, and utilize PPE and LOTO procedures.
6. Conduct first part inspections and make necessary machine adjustments to ensure parts are within tolerance.
7. Use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify accuracy and adjust machines accordingly.
8. Participate in daily shift meetings and review work orders for the day's tasks.
9. Recommend improvements in drawings, equipment, setup times, and tooling costs.
10. Monitor machines for malfunctions and communicate issues to the team lead or maintenance technicians.
11. Engage in Kaizen activities to support continuous improvement, reducing waste and costs.
12. Maintain tooling and machines at the operator level to support TPM.
13. Keep the workplace organized following 5S principles to support the SPS Lean Program.
