Job summary

Kelly Services in Hastings, NE is seeking a Machine Operator for the 1st shift to operate, set up, and maintain manual or computerized equipment while following quality and safety guidelines.

The role requires basic shop math, blueprint reading, computer literacy, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift certification is required; experience in industrial environments is preferred. Mon–Fri schedule with hourly pay up to $18.50.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred with 1+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, machining, or construction environments.
• Basic shop math, blueprint reading, computer literacy, precise measuring instrument use, and strong organizational skills.
• Forklift certification required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive arm movements.
• Self-motivated team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery, perform visual inspections, and resolve production/technical issues.
• Move materials using forklifts and power lift trucks to ensure smooth production flow.
• Read route sheets and blueprints; train new machine operators as needed.
• Follow all company procedures, safety policies, and assigned duties.

• Work Schedule: Mon to Fri, 5:30 am to 4 pm
• Hourly rate: up to $18.50/h
• Contract: W2 contract under staffing supplier, with 6month duration (possible conversion according to performance)
