Overview: As a Machine Operator in our Rough Mill department, you will be responsible for cutting and processing lumber into pallet components. You will follow set up procedures for machines and saws to ensure optimal efficiency and safety.

Shift Hours: Monday-Friday from 7am-4:30pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Train on all saws and cutting equipment
2. Meet production standards on each machine trained on
3. Set up saws and machines properly following LOTO procedures
4. Build and cut pallet components
5. Sort and inspect pallet components
6. Inspect and operate machines
7. Operate all pallet manufacturing tools (saws, nail guns, pallet jacks, hand tools) safely
8. Sort and stack pallets according to customer requirements
9. Keep a daily log of work performed to be submitted to the shift supervisor at the end of each shift

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

1. Prior experience as a machine operator preferred
2. Experience working with wood preferred
3. Ability to work well with others
4. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations
5. Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds
6. Ability to sit, walk, bend, and twist for long periods
7. Understanding and adherence to all safety requirements of the facility
