Job Summary

Responsible for operating secondary spring machines such as kick press, hydraulic press, pneumatic press, unibender, and others. The Secondary Operator will also perform assembly work.

Essential Job Functions
  • Monitor machine operations and stop if a problem occurs.
  • Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure specifications are met.
  • Remove finished workpieces from machines and set aside defective pieces.
  • Read and complete work orders.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the manager/supervisor.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to follow rules, regulations, safety guidelines, and verbal directions.
  • Ability to manipulate or assemble objects.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn the use of calipers, micrometers, and load test equipment.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift/push/pull/drag up to 30 lbs.
  • Use of hands and fingers to grasp, move, or assemble objects.
