Job summary

Midland Garage Door is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to run and adjust a roll form machine, producing steel garage door skins per customer specs. Set up for varying production runs, monitor performance, and ensure accurate forming, stamping, and cutting.

Responsibilities

• Setup and adjust roll form machine for different production runs.
• Monitor machine and material feed for smooth production flow.
• Inspect finished product and adjust settings for quality.
• Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment.
• Carry out daily preventive maintenance on machines.
• Load finished product onto racks and assist other departments as needed.
• Operate forklift on occasion.
• Record production data and downtime accurately.
• Follow all safety protocols.

Machine Operator

Day Shift: 7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday

Starting Wage: $25+/HR DOE

Occasional overtime and weekend shifts

We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our team.

Summary:

The primary function of this position is to operate and adjust a roll form machine to produce steel garage door skins according to customer specifications. This role involves setting up the machine for various production runs, monitoring performance throughout the process, and ensuring materials are formed, stamped, and cut to the correct dimensions and design. The operator is responsible for maintaining product quality by performing measurements and inspections, making necessary adjustments, and identifying any issues with materials or equipment. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a focus on quality and efficiency are essential for success in this position.

Essential Duties:

1. Setup and adjust roll form machine for different production runs based on specifications.
2. Monitor the operation of the machine to ensure proper material feed and smooth production flow.
3. Inspect and measure finished product to ensure quality. Address any defects or discrepancies by adjusting machine settings.
4. Perform routine inspections of machines and equipment to ensure proper function. Recommend and perform minor repairs as needed.
5. Perform PM on the machines daily.
6. Loading finished product onto racks for other departments.
7. Occasional forklift operation.
8. Work with other departments as necessary to ensure high quality and efficient production.
9. Track production data and record progress, issues or downtime.
10. Follow all safety protocols.
