Aerotek in Weaverville, NC is seeking a Machine Operator to operate production machinery, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specifications. This contract role focuses on maintaining quality, documenting production, and assisting with process improvements.
You will verify dimensions with measuring tools and adjust machines to maintain tolerances while supporting other teams on the shop floor. Training new team members and maintaining a safe workspace are essential components of the job.
Operate machines to produce parts according to specifications
Read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Inspect parts and verify dimensions using measuring tools
Make machine adjustments to maintain quality and tolerances
Stack, organize, and prepare finished parts for the next process
Complete production and inventory documentation
Report quality issues and assist with troubleshooting
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Support other production areas as needed
Assist with training and mentoring new team members
Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Experience using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and sockets
Ability to use measuring tools and verify part dimensions
Strong attention to detail and quality
Basic computer skills for production documentation and training
Experience with CNC equipment
Assembly or quality inspection experience
Ability to troubleshoot production issues
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Cross-training experience and willingness to learn multiple processes

This is a Contract position based out of Weaverville, NC.
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
