Job summary

Aerotek in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Machine Operator for our metal fabrication team. You will operate CNC press brakes, turret presses, shears, and punch presses to bend, shape, punch, and cut metal to specifications, reading blueprints and using a tape measure.

This contract-to-hire role offers on-site work with 1st-3rd shifts. You must have machine operation experience, tape measure reading skills, and comfort with computers. CNC experience is preferred.

Machine Operator - Metal Fabrication

Job Description

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our dynamic metal fabrication department in our manufacturing facility. You will be tasked with operating a variety of metal fabrication machinery including CNC press brake, CNC turret press, CNC shear, and CNC punch press. Your daily duties include bending, shaping, punching, and cutting metal to specifications, as well as reading blueprints and a tape measure. You will be responsible for loading and unloading your machine by hand. You will be working independently on the machine, so a high level of responsibility and ownership is required.

Job Overview:

• Job title: Machine Operator


• Pay: $17.50-22.00/hr (based shift/skills)


• Shift Options: 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts available


• Manufacturing environment (non-climate controlled)


• Location: Jacksonville, FL (northside)

Qualifications:

• Machine operation experience is required


• Ability to read tape measure is required


• Proficiency using computers


• Experience operating CNC machinery is preferred


• Experience working with metal fabrication machinery is a plus


• Lifting consistently up to 50 pounds.


• Ability to work in non-climate controlled environments

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
