Clarios in St. Joseph, MO seeks a Machine Operator to operate automated and semi-automated equipment for automotive batteries. The role supports maintenance, quality checks, and 5S-based organization in a busy plant.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, and is prepared for 8- or 12-hour shifts, including weekends and overtime, in a hot production environment. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

• Must be able to wear required PPE (uniform, safety shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, respirators)

Responsibilities

• Operate automated and semi-automated machines to manufacture automotive batteries.
• Make minor machine adjustments, troubleshoot issues, and participate in preventative maintenance (cleaning, greasing, replacing small parts).
• Perform quality inspections and maintain production records.
• Ensure safe operation by following all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Support a clean, organized work environment by adhering to 5S standards

Starting at $25.50/hr. Paid weekly on Fridays.

Shift Differential

• 2nd shift: +$1.00/hr
• 3rd shift: +$2.00/hr
• Weekend shift: +$0.29/hr

Shifts

Multiple schedules available

• 2nd shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm
• 3rd shift: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00pm-7:00am
• Weekend shift: 11:00am-11:00pm OR 11:00pm-11:00am (work 24 hours, paid for 32 hours; OT may be required to cover weekday shifts)

Our St. Joseph, Missouri Dry Assembly Plant (DAP) opened in 1973 and now employs more than 860 people.
