Job summary

Clarios is seeking a Production Operator for its Middletown, DE facility. The successful candidate will operate and monitor production machinery for automotive batteries, conduct quality checks, and ensure a clean and safe work environment.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience. The position offers base pay starting at $14.50 per hour with incentives bringing total pay to $24–$26 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime/weekends as needed.
• Comfortable working in a hot environment and performing physical tasks.

Shifts

12-hour 2-2-3 rotating schedule

• Days: 6:00am – 6:30pm
• Nights: 6:00pm – 6:30am
• Training: Day shift (2-2-3)

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated and semi-automated production machinery to produce automotive batteries
• Conduct quality checks and maintain accurate production records
• Perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance such as cleaning, greasing, and small part replacements
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following 5S and safety standards
• Adhere to all safety protocols including use of PPE

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days or nights) and overtime/weekends as needed
• Comfortable working in a hot environment and performing physical tasks (standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs.)
• Basic math, reading, writing, and computer skills
• Must be able to wear required PPE (uniform, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves)
• U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident status required (no sponsorship available)

Our Middletown, Delaware facility is a distribution center where we charge, package, and ship batteries used in cars, boats, and heavy-duty trucks. Since opening in 2011, we have grown to employ more than 350 people and operate six days per week.
