Job summary

Closets by Design is seeking a motivated Machine Operator in Lisle, IL. The role involves operating woodworking machinery, maintaining equipment, and following installation standards for custom closet systems.

You will work Monday through Friday with no weekends, enjoying a clean, safety-focused shop and opportunities to contribute to quality craftsmanship. The starting pay is $20 per hour, with health and retirement benefits, paid holidays, PTO, and provided tools/equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to safety standards and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards and maintain shop equipment on schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs and assist as needed by Operations Manager.
• Perform additional tasks or projects as defined by the Operations Manager.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Machine Operator to join our growing team. The position includes the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Operations Manager.

Job Requirements

• Experience in the woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred (32mm systems)
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus
