Job summary

Closets by Design in the United States is seeking a motivated General Laborer to join our team as a shop assistant responsible for woodworking tasks, equipment operation, and adhering to installation standards. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient production in a fast-paced shop environment.

Ideal candidates have some woodworking experience, are reliable, and can multitask while following established processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in woodworking or cabinet-making preferred.

• Some prior woodworking experience is preferred but not required.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated General Laborer to join our growing team. The individual will be a shop assistant with the following responsibilities:

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Production Manager.

Benefits

• Listed pay of $18 to $22 per hour includes base pay + bonuses.

Job Requirements

• Experience in the woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred (32mm systems)
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Some prior Woodworking experience is preferred but not required.
