Job summary

Closets by Design Chicago South is seeking a motivated Machine Operator to join our growing team. You will operate woodworking machinery and hand tools, understand product lines and installation techniques, and contribute to high-quality work in a fast-paced shop.

This role offers Monday–Friday schedules with no weekends, paid holidays, PTO, health and retirement benefits, and tools provided. Starting pay is $20 per hour with room to grow as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in the woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred.
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Operations Manager.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Machine Operator to join our growing team. The position includes the following responsibilities:

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Operations Manager.

Job Requirements

• Experience in the woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred (32mm systems)
