Job Responsibilities

1. Assemble mechanical units or fabricated parts to produce sub-assemblies or complete products within routine and repetitive assembly operations.
2. Utilize various hand and power tools, and operate equipment such as jigs, dies, fixtures, templates, punch presses, riveting machines, circular shears, and drill presses to cut, file, fit, punch, ream, rivet, form, and assemble components.
3. Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet specified tolerances and product requirements.
4. Monitor quality of products and raw materials to ensure standards are met.
5. Read and interpret simple blueprints.
6. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
7. Identify and correct minor machine malfunctions.

Qualifications

Typically requires 3-5 years of experience in similar roles. Common job titles include: Press Operator, Machine Operator, Maker/Packer. Works under broad supervision.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $14.80 - $22.20 per hour.
