Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Machine Helper in Bessemer, AL to support the Operator in all aspects of machine operation on the 1st shift.

This full-time, hourly position involves assisting with setup, ensuring orders meet specifications, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and data entry as required. Practical willingness to learn as an operator for vacations or sick leave is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.
• Able to assist operator with machine setup and operation.
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure that fellow crew members adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Assist in ensuring the proper mechanical set up and running of the machine.
• Assist in ensuring that all orders produced are completed according to specifications provided.
• Maintain acceptable production rates.
• Complete all paper work and data entry as required.
• Assist in the training of crew members.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
