Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a Machine Control Technician to perform start-up, qualification, and troubleshooting of machine tools in a manufacturing setting. You will interact with customer personnel, shop floor teams, and engineering to gather and share technical information and document actions.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical engineering or equivalent, OR 5 years machine tool troubleshooting experience.
Strong blueprint/schematic reading for hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems in CNC tooling.
High Voltage experience and safe practices knowledge.
Ability to set up, troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical subsystems including CNC drives, servomotors, PLCs, encoders.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical subsystems in advanced machine tool systems.
Communicate status of start up and troubleshooting clearly with customers and internal teams.
Provide coaching and informal training to customer personnel on electrical maintenance of Gleason products.
Interact with project management during field installations and service projects, coordinating tasks and timelines.
