Job summary

Amcor LLC is hiring for a press-line assistant on a Fri–Sun schedule. You will assist with setup, change-overs, and running jobs per strict specifications to ensure defect-free printed materials. Must be able to read specs, perform measurements, and support maintenance to keep lines productive.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and understanding of mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledgeable and able to understand a computer and programs.
  • Possess adequate math, measurement, and reading skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to perform visual inspections using measurement devices and color discernment.
  • Commitment to teamwork, safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of operation of press lines, including change-overs and start-up.
  • Support operator in running jobs per customer, manufacturing and print specs and SOPs.
  • Help set up jobs according to established SOCs and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure printed material is defect-free and meets specifications.
  • Work with operator to minimize change-overs and downtime.
  • Ensure materials like inks, stocks, cylinders, cores, and aniloxes are ready for next job.
  • Assist maintenance to get the machine back online and productive.
  • Follow the training matrix and understand your role in product safety.
