Job summary

MultiCare Rockwood Clinic in Spokane, WA seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to support physicians and APPs in a fast-paced clinic environment. You will perform clinical tasks, assist with exams, collect specimens, and relay information to patients and families.

Washington MA-C certification and current BLS are required; at least one year of healthcare experience is preferred. This role includes patient flow coordination and clerical duties to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Washington State MA-C certification required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff.
• Interviewing patients and obtaining vital signs.
• Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments.
• Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture.
• Administration of medications in compliance with WA Health regulations and documented competency.
• Relaying instructions and information to patients and their families/caregivers.
• Sending and receiving of patient medical records.
• Facilitating patient referrals.
• Preparing forms for patients.
