Job summary

MultiCare Rockwood Clinic in Spokane is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join the physician/APP office team. The MA-C will perform safe clinical tasks under supervision and maintain strong contact with physicians, nurses and patients.

Responsibilities include organizing patient flow, interviewing patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting with exams, collecting specimens, administering medications per state rules, and relaying information to families.

Qualifications

• MA-C certification required or eligible in Washington state.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• BLS certification current or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient flow in collaboration with front office staff.
• Interview patients and obtain vital signs.
• Assist patients in preparing for exams or treatments.
• Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture.
• Administer medications in accordance with WA DOH regulations and competency.
• Relay instructions and information to patients and families.
