Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join a physician/APP office team in Washington. The MA-C will perform clinical tasks under supervision, manage patient flow, and support exams and treatments while maintaining patient safety and quality care.

The role requires MA-C certification, BLS, and ideally 1 year of healthcare experience. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible applicants, with a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay.

Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is an integral part of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team working under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. Work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families/caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff
• Interviewing patients
• Obtaining vital signs
• Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments
• Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
• Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
• Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers
• Sending and receiving of patient medical records
• Facilitating patient referrals
• Preparing forms for patients

Requirements

• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Current BLS certification

Pay and Benefit Expectations

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $22.34 - $32.14 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
