Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a M365 Risk Mitigation Engineer for a 24‑month contract in Charlotte, NC. The role emphasizes identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks across Microsoft 365, Exchange, and SharePoint with hands-on engineering and risk management governance.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, remediation strategies, control validation, and support for audits and regulatory reviews. Hybrid work model with on‑site presence in Charlotte three days per week.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in enterprise technology engineering, infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity or related field.
• 5+ years supporting enterprise productivity, collaboration, messaging, or information-protection services.
• Experience owning technology risks and driving remediation from identification to closure.
• Experience with vulnerability management across enterprise platforms.
• Experience with secure configuration management, lifecycle management, and patching.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate technology risks across productivity platforms, focusing on M365, Exchange, and SharePoint.
• Perform risk assessments and prioritize remediation based on business impact and dependencies.
• Develop and execute remediation strategies to reduce residual risk and ensure evidence-based closure.
• Evaluate effectiveness of security, operational, and recovery controls across productivity services.
• Lead or support implementation of risk-minded engineering solutions for M365, Exchange, and related systems.
• Govern issue management, remediation planning, and risk acceptance activities.
• Establish risk monitoring, reporting, and governance frameworks for visibility into risk posture.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and control examinations with evidence-based validation.
