Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a skilled M365 Risk Mitigation Engineer for a 24‑month contract in Irving, TX. You will identify, evaluate, and mitigate technology risks across Microsoft 365, Exchange, and SharePoint while driving remediation, control design, and evidence-based validation within a large enterprise environment.

The role blends hands-on engineering with governance, audits, and risk management, requiring strong communication to engineering teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in enterprise technology engineering, infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, or related discipline.
• 5+ years supporting enterprise productivity, collaboration, messaging, or information-protection services.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience owning technology risks and driving remediation from identification through closure.
• Experience with vulnerability management and remediation across enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage technology risk mitigation engineering across the Productivity Engineering portfolio, focusing on Microsoft 365 and related platforms.
• Perform comprehensive technology risk assessments and prioritize remediation activities by business impact and risk exposure.
• Develop and execute remediation strategies addressing root causes and residual risk.
• Evaluate and validate security, operational, and recovery controls across productivity and information‑protection services.
• Lead or support implementation of engineering solutions to improve security, compliance, and resilience for M365, Exchange, SharePoint, and related systems.
• Coordinate with multiple partners to ensure aligned risk mitigation and timely remediation.
• Establish risk monitoring, reporting, and governance frameworks with executive visibility.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, risk committees, and control examinations with evidence-based validation.
• Strengthen platform resilience, recovery readiness, and lifecycle management for Microsoft 365 and related infrastructure.
• Provide guidance on control design and remediation options as a technical authority.
