Job summary

Anthropic in San Francisco seeks a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting – M&A to join our Finance team. You will lead technical accounting for mergers, acquisitions, and related structures, reporting to the Senior Director, Technical Accounting – M&A.

You will collaborate with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and leadership to ensure GAAP-compliant deal accounting, document policies, and support external auditors across complex transactions in a high-growth AI

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive accounting experience in M&A and strategic investments.
Experience owning complex transactions end-to-end including GAAP implications.

Responsibilities

Execute technical accounting for business combinations and asset acquisitions.
Partner with Corporate Development to steer deal structures toward preferred terms.
Perform accounting due diligence on prospective transactions and advise on GAAP and earnings implications.
Execute end-to-end purchase accounting and recognition of assets, liabilities, and goodwill.
Prepare transaction-related disclosures for quarterly and annual filings.
