Anthropic is seeking a Director, Technical Accounting – Investments and M&A to own accounting for strategic investments, partnerships, and related capital transactions. You will support M&A when needed and partner with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, and FP&A to reflect investment economics under US GAAP.

Qualificações

• Significant Big 4 experience with in-house tech company exposure
• Proven leadership of complex valuations (ASC 321/323/810)
• Ownership of portfolio investments accounting and impairment monitoring
• Deep US GAAP knowledge for investments, consolidation, and VIEs
• Ability to translate complex accounting into business impacts
• Experience in investment-related deal accounting and PPA review
• Comfort working with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax and external auditors
• CPA license and SOX-compliant controls experience
• Familiarity with AI/tech structures and novel investment arrangements

Responsabilidades

• Execute technical accounting for investments, JVs, partnerships, and related financing/equity instruments
• Influence deal structures with Corporate Development and review term sheets
• Own entry accounting for new investments and initial measurement
• Run quarterly portfolio reviews and manage exits, follow-on investments, impairments
• Maintain investment rollforward and portfolio reporting for FP&A and leadership
• Manage external valuation specialists and review Level 3 inputs
• Support M&A due diligence and purchase accounting
• Draft accounting policies and defend conclusions with auditors
• Develop investments operating model and SOX controls
• Prepare investment disclosures for filings and leadership communications
• Monitor SEC developments affecting investments and cross-functional education
