Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting – M&A and Investments to join our Finance team in San Francisco. You will support accounting for mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, and other complex capital transactions, reporting to the Senior Director, Technical Accounting – M&A and Investments.

You’ll collaborate with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A and leadership to ensure deal economics are reflected under US GAAP and defensible to auditors and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 4+ years owning complex M&A and strategic investment accounting end-to-end.
• Active CPA license.
• Big 4 experience in a national office or advisory group plus in-house experience at a tech company.
• Deep US GAAP expertise for business combinations, consolidation, equity method, and fair value.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting for mergers, acquisitions and strategic investments.
• Own structuring, consolidation outcomes, and financial statement impact under US GAAP.
• Partner with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax and FP&A on deal economics.
• Develop and refine control frameworks, valuation governance, and close-ready documentation.
