Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a strong Tax Leader to join our national Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax group in the Los Angeles area. This senior role leads complex tax engagements for multinational corporations, private equity, and partnerships, driving strategy, due diligence, and structuring for M&A transactions.

The position requires a CPA with 12+ years of public accounting tax experience, strong leadership, client management, and a commitment to excellence across a multi-disciplinary practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university.
• Active CPA license or equivalent professional credential in the state of residence or primary office.
• Minimum of twelve(12) years of Tax experience in public accounting.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with firm personnel and clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior tax client service leader for complex client needs within a multi-disciplinary practice.
• Lead teams in the delivery of tax services across capabilities, geographies, and specialists.
• Manage multiple engagements, monitoring status, resources, and client expectations.
• Identify technical tax matters early and guide teams through complex issues.
• Maintain ongoing client relationships and understand goals to connect clients with the right expertise.
• Support growth through pipeline development and cross-firm collaboration.
• Manage profitability, billing, and engagement economics with discipline.
• Apply quality, risk, ethics, and professional judgment to all activities.
• So program digital tools and global workforce capabilities to improve efficiency.
• Coach and develop high-performing teams and future leaders.
