Job summary

RSM US LLP in Irvine, CA seeks a dynamic tax professional to join our national Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax group. This is a rapidly growing advisory practice serving private equity, family offices, and multinational clients on the tax aspects of planning, structuring, and executing transactions.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA eligibility or Bar exam readiness, and at least four years of tax experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university.
  • Completion of all educational requirements for CPA licensure eligibility in the state of residence or completion of all requirements to sit for the Bar exam by start date.
  • At least four years of tax-related experience.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to meet client service, quality, and performance expectations within deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering due diligence and tax structuring services and communicate findings to clients.
  • Assist senior team members with technical tax issues including consolidated returns, S corporations, partnerships, and LLCs.
  • Assist clients with reorganizations, bankruptcy planning, debt restructurings, tax basis, Earning and Profits, and Section 382 studies.
  • Develop, motivate, and train team members.
