Environmental Resources Management, Inc. (ERM) is seeking a Principal Consultant, Mergers and Acquisitions, Infrastructure in Manhattan to lead high-impact due diligence and investment evaluations for energy and infrastructure assets.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, deliver technical excellence, strengthen client relationships, and expand the M&A Infrastructure service line globally.

Qualifications

  • Engineering background and leadership for complex infrastructure deals.
  • 10+ years in technical consulting, engineering, or operations in energy/infrastructure.
  • Ability to identify risks from reviews, site visits, and discussions across asset integrity, operations, and business plans.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in fast‑turnaround environments.
  • Proven ability to lead, execute, and ensure quality work for teams.
  • Advanced report writing and client‑facing presentation skills.
  • Experience reviewing EPC contracts, financial models, designs, and budgets for industrial projects.
  • Experience assessing asset integrity and performance (HSE, maintenance, availability).
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compelling proposals with scopes, schedules, and terms.
  • Manage and deliver large, multidisciplinary consulting and due diligence projects.
  • Lead evaluations of technical, operational, and business plans for infrastructure investments.
  • Coordinate deliverables and client meetings, Q&A submissions, and final reports.
  • Collaborate with ERM communities and SMEs to support project excellence.
  • Contribute to development of the Infrastructure service line and best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire team members while managing performance.
  • Build strong client relationships and pursue expanded services and sales.
