Job summary

ERM seeks a Consulting Associate, Environmental Due Diligence, to join our award-winning M&A Transaction Advisory team. Based in Manhattan, NY (hybrid), you will help global clients identify environmental and compliance issues that shape multi-million-dollar deals.

You will assess EHS/ESG risks across portfolios, support due diligence across regions, and deliver detailed reports while collaborating with project managers and ERM colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or 6+ years equivalent experience) in related field.
• 0–2+ years in environmental consulting with exposure to due diligence projects.
• Solid knowledge of ASTM Phase I standards and transactions concepts.
• Strong writing and communication; able to travel and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform EHS and ESG due diligence projects for multi-national clients, managing multi-person teams across regions.
• Conduct assessments aligned with ASTM Phase I and global protocols, including compliance reviews.
• Prepare detailed reports assessing environmental liability risks and operational compliance at industrial facilities.
• Collaborate with project managers to identify risks and opportunities in transactions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, ERM teams, and vendors to ensure project success.
• Deliver projects within scope, budget, and schedule while maintaining ERM's quality standards.
