Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking an intern for Transaction Advisory (M&A) in New York. You will support financial due diligence from planning through completion, working with staff, managers, and partners across service lines to deliver data-driven insights for sell-side and buy-side engagements.

You’ll gain hands-on experience building Excel models, analyzing large datasets, and communicating findings to deal teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0
• Willingness to work additional hours and travel to client sites
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Ability to analyze and summarize financial information and large datasets
• Demonstrated project management and time management skills
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Support financial due diligence engagements from planning through completion
• Work on multiple M&A transactions across industries
• Attend client meetings and interact with target management and bankers
• Manage data flow and monitor dataroom activity
• Build analysis packages (e.g., Excel models) with guidance
• Develop insights for clients and support deal process timelines
• Engage in mentoring and professional development activities
• Participate in networking and community outreach
