Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Financial Due Diligence Intern to support financial, tax and operational due diligence engagements from planning through completion. You will learn to apply due diligence skills for sell-side and buy-side clients across industries, working with Partners and managers to deliver actionable insights.

You will gain experience in Excel modeling, data analysis, and cross-team collaboration while developing professional skills in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0
• The willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed, and travel to various client sites.
• Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize financial information and large datasets.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Work on financial due diligence engagements from start to finish.
• Learn to apply fundamental financial due diligence skills on sell-side and buy-side assignments.
• Collaborate with staff, managers and partners across service lines.
• Build analysis packages (e.g., Excel models) to analyze financial data.
• Identify key insights for clients and assist in deal progression.
• Participate in meetings with clients and manage deadlines.
