Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking a Financial Due Diligence Intern in Chicago. You will work on financial due diligence engagements from planning to completion, learning to apply diligence skills for sell-side and buy-side clients across industries.

You’ll collaborate with staff, managers, and partners, gain exposure to deal processes, and develop leadership and client communication skills through cross-functional teamwork and mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist on a variety of M&A transactions across industries.
• Attend client meetings with management, PE firms, and bankers.
• Manage data flow and monitor the dataroom.
• Collaborate with offshore support to build analysis packages (e.g., Excel models).
• Develop insights and support deal execution with managers and directors.
• Communicate progress and deadlines to internal and external stakeholders.
• Engage in mentoring, networking, and professional development activities.
