Job summary

Ramboll in the United States is seeking a Managing Consultant or Senior Managing Consultant to lead and coordinate environmental due diligence in M&A. The role focuses on Phase I ESAs, environmental compliance, and post-transaction integration for private equity and industrial clients.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in an environmental discipline (e.g., geology, environmental or chemical engineering, environmental science).
• At least 7 years of experience performing Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews for industrial facilities.
• Experience developing proposals and cost estimates for transactional due diligence and managing project budgets.
• Experience in analysis of investigation and remediation of contaminated sites.
• Experience in multi-media compliance support.
• An Environmental Professional as defined by ASTM E1527-21 Standard.
• Proven ability to perform Phase I ESAs and compliance reviews of complex industrial sites; knowledge of emerging contaminants and ESG considerations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate environmental due diligence projects for industrial, private equity, and legal clients.
• Oversee environmental compliance reviews of industrial facilities.
• Support clients with permitting, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Develop proposals and cost estimates; manage budgets and client communications.
• Review site investigation reports and provide conclusions and recommendations.
• Lead client discussions and maintain strong client contact.
