West Monroe in Chicago is seeking an entry-level Mergers & Acquisitions Consultant to join the national M&A team. You will gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle, including diligence, carve-out planning, integration, and value creation.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze operations and technology, and apply AI tools to drive insights and efficiency. The program emphasizes development, mentorship, and client impact.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with expected graduation Dec 2026–Aug 2027.
GPA at least 3.0.
US work authorization without sponsorship.
Willing to travel up to 50%.
Experience integrating AI tools into workflows (e.g., ChatGPT).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams specializing in M&A and engage C-level client counterparts.
Participate in due diligence site visits to assess operational and technology strategies.
Evaluate investment strategies against leading practices and benchmarks.
Prepare request lists, agendas, and support diligence sessions.
Deliver post-close projects to enhance value creation and process efficiency.
Contribute to West Monroe’s M&A methodologies and client delivery approaches.
Apply emerging AI technologies to improve insights and efficiency.
Support the creation of work plans and statements of work for prospective clients.
