Job summary

West Monroe is seeking entry-level Consultants to join our Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. In this role, you will collaborate with a national M&A team, serving both corporate and private equity clients.

You will gain hands-on experience across the full M&A lifecycle, performing due diligence, planning carve-outs and integrations, and supporting post-close value creation with AI-enabled approaches. This role offers exposure to multiple industries and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in progress with expected graduation between Dec 2026 and Aug 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
• Reside within 50 miles of assigned office; hybrid work model
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%
• Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (industry, technical) specializing in M&A and demonstrate executive presence with C-level client counterparts
• Participate in due diligence site visits to assess operational and technology strategies, organizational structures, and business processes
• Evaluate operational and technology investment strategies by comparing operating models against leading practices
• Prepare request lists, agendas, and support diligence sessions and deliverable creation
• Work with engagement leadership to deliver post-close projects that implement operational processes and technologies to enhance value creation and efficiency
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of West Monroe’s M&A methodologies (diligence, carve-out and integration planning, sell-side advisory, value creation)
• Apply emerging technologies including AI and advanced analytics to improve efficiency, identify insights, and drive value in client engagements
• Support the creation of work plans and statements of work for prospective clients and projects
• Apply AI technologies to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes
