Job Description
Seeking a Microsoft 365 and Azure Subject Matter Expert to serve as the technical lead for M365 services across a Microsoft GCC High environment. This role centers Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI adoption, Purview data governance, Exchange Online, Teams, and Power Platform enablement. The position is hands‑on engineering and administration rather than large-scale cloud architecture; Azure work focuses on identity, integration, and supporting services.
Essential Functions And Primary Duties
- Serve as the technical owner and Tier 3 escalation point for Microsoft Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, Purview, and Entra ID within a GCC High tenant.
- Assist in maintaining endpoint management standards for Windows, iOS, iPadOS, and Android Enterprise devices using Intune.
- Administer identity and access controls through Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, and privileged access, with alignment to organizational security policy.
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Purview capabilities that enforce data protection, retention, and eDiscovery obligations.
- Take a lead in planning, piloting, and operationalizing Microsoft 365 Copilot and related AI capabilities, including readiness, governance, and adoption oversight.
- Govern the Microsoft Power Platform environment strategy, DLP posture, and connector controls.
- Automate recurring administrative tasks in PowerShell (Microsoft.Graph, ExchangeOnlineManagement, MicrosoftTeams, Az, Intune-related modules).
- Maintain accurate technical documentation: runbooks, SOPs, configuration baselines, and knowledge base articles.
- Assist in further adoptions of SharePoint as well as OneDrive.
- Ensure services under ownership remain aligned to applicable compliance frameworks such as NIST SP 800-53, NIST CSF, and HIPAA where relevant.
- Communicate clearly with technical peers, leadership, and end users; translate business needs into supportable Microsoft cloud configurations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4+ years of hands‑on Microsoft 365 administration, including Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, and Purview.
- 1+ years of experience in a Microsoft GCC High tenant.
- Must have knowledge of administrative procedures
- Familiarity with general IT hardware including desktop, server and networking
- Familiarity with general IT software licensing including Microsoft, Adobe and others
- Proficient use of applicable technology; specifically, Microsoft Office Applications (Excel and Word)
- Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while fulfilling all obligations
- Strong customer service skills
