Title: Senior M365 Engineering Lead
Location: Houston, TX - Hybrid, 3 days onsite
Type: FTE, Direct Hire
Salary Range: DOE: $160-$200k (+ Bonus)

Our client, a renowned Insurance organization, is seeking a Senior M365 Engineering Lead. This is a high-level role that will require proven and current hands‑on experience working within the M365 stack, overseeing deployments and optimization of advanced digital workplace technologies and facilitating enterprise‑wide change management initiatives, including major migrations and new capability roll‑outs. The Senior M365 Engineering Lead will serve as the internal SME across all Microsoft messaging, collaboration, and productivity platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and engineering of the Microsoft 365 tenant, Exchange infrastructure, and services related to enterprise messaging, collaboration, and productivity
• Partner with IT, Security/Identity, and business partners to deliver scalable, secure, and supportable solutions aligned with the organization's digital workplace strategy
• Deploy and optimize M365 technologies, including Teams Premium, Copilot, Advanced Townhall, Teams SMS texting, Vivia, and more
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration and lead platform modernization efforts to shape roadmaps for continuous improvement and cohesive capability delivery

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in enterprise messaging, collaboration, and productivity architecture, user experience, and systems
• Deep expertise with the Microsoft 365/Modern Work platform administration and engineering; Exchange Online, Teams (chat, meetings, voice), SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Copilot, Defender, Entra, Endpoint Manager, etc.
• Demonstrated leadership in cross‑functional management of enterprise scale deployments and migrations
• Extensive knowledge of messaging infrastructure, including servers, networking, storage, backup, and disaster recovery
• Advanced knowledge of DNS, SMTP
• Hands‑on experience with Intune solutions and Entra ID
• Demonstrated success implementing unified communications solutions across diverse platforms
