Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT), PTA, or OT to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjusting plan of care as needed. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, education for patients and families, and collaboration with staff to support recovery.

Primary duties include designing and implementing care plans, documenting outcomes, supervising support staff, and ensuring safety. Lymphedema certification is preferred but not required, with a sign-on bonus and varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in good standing.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Designs an appropriate plan of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes and discharge.
• Educates patients, family and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examinations with reliable methods based on history and screening.
• Documents in accordance with CTSCP67 policy.
• Supervises PTA and rehabilitation technicians and provides feedback.
• Communicates progress and discharge needs with the medical team.
