Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapy professional (PT/ PTA/ OT) to evaluate and treat patients across ages, with lymphedema considerations. The role emphasizes safe mobility, patient education, and collaborative care with staff and students.

The position offers a full-time daytime schedule (Mon-Fri, 8-hour days). Lymphedema certification is preferred but not required, and a sign-on bonus may be available depending on licensure and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) license (IDFPR) required or eligible.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• Lymphedema certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to transfer patients with assistance as needed.
• Treats patients with dignity and empathy while staying engaged in care.
• Designs and adjusts plan of care with goals, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Performs examinations using reliable methods relevant to chief complaint and history.
• Produces documentation per CTSCP67 policy.
• Screens patients to determine need for further therapy services.
• Supervises PTA and rehab technicians according to regulatory standards.
• Completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement requirements.

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days
