• Completion and ongoing participation in required continuing education on acute stroke care.
• Eligibility for licensure in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements an individualized plan of care with goals, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Performs patient transfers safely with proper body mechanics.
• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Documents in accordance with policy and regulatory standards.
• Supervises PTA and rehabilitation technicians as required.
