Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), Physical Therapist (PT), or Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. Lymphedema certification is preferred but not required. The compensation range varies by licensure and may differ from posted ranges.

This role offers a sign-on bonus and a Monday–Friday, 8-hour day schedule, full-time with potential for alternative shifts. The ideal candidate has a valid PT/OT/PTA license, BLS certification, and experience in acute stroke care.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in good standing (IDFPR Illinois or applicable state licensure).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within requested timeframe.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with safe body mechanics.
Educates patients and family using effective teaching methods.
Creates and adjusts the plan of care with goals, treatment, and discharge plan.
Evaluates clinical findings and outcomes of care.
Documents in the Clinical Process Policy as required.
Supervises PTA and rehabilitation technicians as appropriate.
Communicates status, discharge recommendations, and equipment needs with the medical team.
