Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Mesquite, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under the Center Physician’s guidance.

Requirements include state licensure as EMT-B/A/I/Paramedic or as an RN/LPN/LVN, CPR/AED certification, FDA training, and at least two years of clinical experience. Takeda offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-P or RN/LPN/LVN license in TX
• CPR/AED certification required
• FDA approved BioLife training completed
• Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting
• Ability to manage donor safety and respond to medical issues per SOPs

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, history interview, physical assessment, and test review
• Evaluate donor reactions and provide medical support per SOPs
• Refer complex medical or technical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable
• Coordinate donor transport for emergencies and assist with donor safety and transport procedures
