Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at the Moody Outpatient Center in Dallas, TX. The LVN will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, ensuring quality care for patients. Ideal candidates must have a valid Texas LVN license or a Compact LVN license, as well as BLS certification. The position requires effective communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to demonstrate patient-centered care. Full-time schedule includes Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Must have a valid Compact LVN License.
• Must obtain Hearing and Vision Screening Certificate within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide total nursing care for assigned patients under RN guidance.
• Screen and prioritize patients based on medical issues.
• Assist in patient flow, treatments, and discharge activities.
• Complete documentation according to established procedures.
• Maintain clean and sterilized patient areas and instruments.
