Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a LV/ MV Electrical Engineer for a client located in Prince George, VA. This is a 12-month contract position with a focus on low- to medium-voltage switchgear and embedded hardware design.

The role requires leading and advising in hardware design, PCB layout, and system architecture across EE domains, with responsibilities including component evaluation and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 12+ years experience in embedded hardware design or equivalent.
• Electrical Engineering degree or higher; relevant industry experience.
• Experience with low- to medium-voltage switchgear and embedded hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead/advice on embedded hardware design and validation for complex products.
• Guide PCB layout and design using standard engineering tools.
• Perform system architecture analysis and define EE architecture requirements.
• Evaluate components and advise on roadmaps and feature enhancements.
• Mentor other engineers and lead cross-functional design reviews.
