MillerKnoll, Inc. seeks a Sales Assistant for the Holly Hunt showroom in Chicago to provide administrative, operational, and client-facing support to Sales Associates.

This role is a key liaison between clients, the Corporate Office, outside sales partners, and vendors, assisting from initial inquiry through fulfillment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with experience in luxury retail or design environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a retail, showroom, design, or client service environment; luxury brand experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first contact for inbound client inquiries and route to the appropriate Sales Associate.
• Greet clients in the showroom and provide a welcoming, professional experience.
• Assist clients in the showroom and via phone or email as needed.
• Support Sales Associates with quotes, order entry, and ongoing order management.
• Review orders for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance prior to submission.
• Process client payments, including deposits and credit card transactions, and release orders per procedures.
• Submit COM ID forms to vendors as required.
• Track approvals for SFAs, DFAs, and CFAs; manage post-order updates.
• Coordinate freight logistics and delivery requirements; maintain weekly order status reports.
• Expedite priority orders with the Client First team; monitor balance-due notices.
• Provide shipment tracking updates and delivery confirmations to clients.
• Prepare and submit refund requests for overpayments.
• Support showroom initiatives like mailers and client communications.
