Job summary

Starwood Hotels in Seattle is seeking a high-energy Sales Coordinator to support the sales, marketing and events/catering team. You will perform general office duties, draft proposals and contracts, and load bookings and rates into the property management system.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary diploma, at least 2 years in a similar role, strong administrative, organizational and technical skills, and excellent verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and technical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; guest-service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and respond to inquiries in a pleasant manner.
• Serve as the point of contact for clients and respond to questions about facilities/services.
• Generate reports, prepare proposals, and coordinate with clients and suppliers.
• Load bookings and rates into the property management system and maintain profiles.
• Manage and maintain sales schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.
• Assist in scheduling, filing important documents, and sharing relevant information.
• Arrange and coordinate meetings, events, and appointments.
• Record, transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings when needed.
