Gucci is seeking an Operations Controller to oversee the stockroom and maintain precise inventory while supporting day-to-day operations. This role ensures efficient merchandise movement and adherence to procedures, reporting issues to leadership and maintaining documentation.

The candidate will collaborate across store management and staff, handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced luxury retail environment, and be prepared for varied hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience in a similar role in fashion retail or luxury.
• High degree of ethics, professionalism, integrity, and ability to inspire trust and teamwork.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory efficiently.
• Attention to details and accuracy in stock management processes.
• Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management software, including receiving, tracking, and storing merchandise.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with store management, sales teams, and other staff members.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the retail industry.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position including but not limited to climbing ladders, bending, lifting boxes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping and receiving processes and report issues to Store Director or Operations Manager.
• Ensure timely movement of merchandise following procedures and guidelines.
• Identify and resolve operational problems quickly.
• Maintain accurate operations documents and procedures.
• Submit required tax-exempt forms as applicable.
• Communicate discrepancies to management.
• Process repairs and damages promptly.
• Assist with boutique maintenance.
• Place orders for office/store supplies.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and security guidelines.
• Conduct store inventory, cycle counts, and reconciliations as directed.
